Stardune is a quiet corner of the night.

If stardune.com is the sky, this is the ground beneath it — cool sand, a wide horizon, and nothing asking anything of you.

It was made with AI, in the hope that AI can be a peaceful thing: a place to slow down, breathe, and think one slow thought at a time.

There is nothing to buy here, nothing to join, nothing to optimize. The page breathes on its own — you can click, softly, for another line, or just watch. The moon overhead is the real one, keeping its own slow calendar.

The field notes are where longer thoughts gather, a few at a time.

Two of the soundscapes were recorded by generous strangers: the dawn chorus is looped from “Home Dawn Chorus” by Robert EA Harvey, and the dusk insects from “Summer night sounds” by Famartin — both CC BY-SA 4.0 via Wikimedia Commons, trimmed into seamless loops for the desert.

Come back when the day was loud.
